Generally the ignorant and lammers when compiling something, in their poor knowledge they simply follow some words and obey the introductions to poor convenience... if you ask to stackoverflow only more noobs will give you wrong responses.. check this case:...
... generally when any of these poors newbies in their unknown in the topic, just adds to a compilation most optimizations, does not take into account that level 3 of GCC obtimizations adds something that can affect the like the floating point is managed in some architectures ..Oh no no no! dont ask to stackoverflow.. theire are also noobs, this the only link that try to give light in the issue https://stackoverflow.com/questions/12645669/what-are-gcc-s-expensive-optimizations just dont give real explanation..
Fortunatelly i foun for those stupid people an important hint: https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=82760 that demostrates you never added optimizations without futher investigation.
The -fexpensive-optimizations option to gcc causes ARM64 and PowerPC build to compute floating point operations slightly differently from other platforms. This flag is enabled by -O2 and higher optimization levels.
This last change in mysql (quite older now, but really usefully) tell to ignorants that added just levels of optimizations are not so easy as thinking.. and must take care of each case for..
