new TDE desktop must be default for Alpine and Devuan

The Trinity Desktop Environment (TDE) released TDE R14.0.7 version, the mayor feature are that compiles in alpine linux due recent support to Muslc... as complete software desktop environment designed for Unix-like operating systems, offers all the features of heavyweight desktops but fits in all low end computers.. it's so light as xfce4 inclusively as like LXDE desktop.

Devuan to differentiate and have less work should be allied with TDE, which does not depend on systemd and additional is complete, is like having a heavy desktop without heavy requirements, this would differentiate Devuan from other linux and help the development of both projects ...  a right decision could be join efforts and make the package as default desktop.. integrated into the main distro and make it the right choose for all Devuan users.. but for sure will goes to minimalist way and denies that idea!

R14.0.7 is the seventh maintenance release of the R14.0 series, and is built on and improves the previous R14.0.6 version. Maintenance releases are intended to promptly bring bug fixes to users, while preserving overall stability through the avoidance of both major new features and major codebase re-factoring.

  • Several packages have been migrated to CMake build system
  • General polishing of TDE look and brand
  • Several translation updates
  • Better support for XDG standard
  • Improved detection of ruby version
  • Added support for a new location of the ICEauthority file
  • Added support for recent versions of libpqxx
  • Added support for MySQL 8.x
  • Added initial support for DilOS builds
  • Added initial support for build with musl libc
  • Added support for build with LibreSSL
  • Restored both AIM and MSN protocols in kopete
  • Revived NetBSD support for various packages

 Hard or easy to install?

Debian and Devuan users have a very easy way to do, just follow instructions of repositories available at https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/DebianInstall easile.. Devuan just use Debian equivalents and that's all.

Alpine users just use old unix way of configure &make & make install to use it, no problem! all are installed on "/opt" by default just some exceptions. There's some work on the way for packages of course.

PRE-made ISOS with Devuan or Debian? YES:

There's EXE GNU+Linux based on Devuan.. as live disc, take note at https://sourceforge.net/p/exegnulinux/
